Here’s a super simple recipe for a low-calorie low-sodium baked chicken dish. The calories are based on the full recipe of the sauce, when in reality only about 15% of the sauce is absorbed into the chicken and consumed. So the actual calories and sodium content will be even lower than posted. You can definitely taste the garlic – which I love – so if that’s not a flavor you like, it’s best to pass on this recipe. But I think it’s yummy. It also freezes very well.
1 pound skinless, boneless chicken breasts
2 T brown sugar
1 t dry mustard
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 T reduced-sodium soy sauce
2 T honey
Place chicken in a small glass baking dish.
Spread remaining ingredients (in order listed) over chicken.
Bake uncovered at 350 for 1 hour.
